Beaut.ie is now part of a big family, you should have seen the Packed House launch party in House
As some of you may know I am a beauty writer for Beaut.ie. They have recently had an exciting take over and the Packed House launch party was last night in House on Leeson street.
I went along to help out and support the Beaut.ie team for the big event. House is one of my very favourite venues. I always say when we get around to having a MUA event-House will be the venue. I arrived to find Jamie Heaslip sitting in the lounge. He told me he was speaking at the launch. So that was the first I heard of the new sister site called The Players Chronicle and the other site that is under the Packed House Umbrella is FamilyFriendlyHQ.ie.
If you’ve been to House before you’ll know how there are different sections to it. For the launch, each section was used to represent the different websites of Packed House. Guests included Rosie Connolly, Mark Rogers and blogger Sarah Hanrahan among many others. First gin and vodka cocktails were served in little rock glasses for you to warm up with while Dermot Hanrahan -the chairman, explained the takeover to us.
Entertainment.ie, Beaut.ie and FamilyFriendlyHQ then took over the other three areas of House. Beaut was in the conservatory while Entertainment.ie transformed the downstairs room into a cinema room with an old school popcorn machine and a donut wall-yes a wall of donuts and hundreds of baloons forming a curtain of ribbons we had to wade through.

It was a seriously cool and well thought out setup. Guests went on a kind of adventure through House. First from the Beautie room on to the sports room where Jamie Heaslip entertained them with a letter he had penned to his younger self. We all ended up in the cinema room downstairs. Mike Sheridan hosted a live chat show with Brian Lloyd and Deirdre Molumby discussing the Oscars from the night before.
The night was so much fun, I’m very proud to be part of the Beaut.ie team. For the year ahead Beaut.ie will be the first stop for all things beauty with expert and honest opinions behind all our articles. Check out #beautie and #packedhouse on Instagram for more pictures from the night.
